[Ewrt-devel] wrt54g to wrt54g link problem

i have two WRT54G V2 :
one runs the original linksys firmware and is in AP mode
the second runs the latest ewrt firmware and is in Client mode

ClientPC-Eth_Link-WRT54G(ewrt) WiFi_link WRT54G(linksys)-Eth_link-ServerPC

with the ClientPC i can browse my samba shares on the ServerPC without 
problem but if i start to transfer a huge file(>100MO), after a while, the 
transfer hangs, each time between 20Mo and 80Mo.

i have changed the Ethernet cable on both sides

i've tried to transfer with HTTP instead of Netbios

i've changed the ClientPC
(a desktop running Win98, then a notebook running Linux)

i've tried to change plenty of settings on the WRT54G(ewrt), 
i've disabled all unneeded services(except tftpd) 
the problem stills.

if i change the ClientPC for a notebook(Windows98) with a 54g PCMCIA card 
talking directly to the WRT54G(linksys) then it works quite well

do you think it could be a bug in the ewrt firmware ?
or a hardware problem in a WRT ?

any idea of how i can analyse the problem ?
